Athletics: Dope case hurdler suspended

BRITAIN'S Callum Priestley has been provisionally suspended from all competition and UK Athletics' World Class Performance Programme following an anti-doping violation.

Sprint hurdler Priestley has been suspended under IAAF rules after analysis of his B sample indicated the presence of the asthma drug clenbuterol.

The 21-year-old sprint hurdler from London has been charged with an anti-doping violation.

The suspension follows an out-of-competition test in South Africa in January.

Priestley, who won the 60m hurdles at the UK Championships in Sheffield last month, has the opportunity to respond to the charge against him, including the right to a full hearing. If found guilty, he faces a two-year ban.
