Jamie shocked by dragon win

A HOLIDAY maker was surprised to come home to find a £2,000 solid gold Welsh dragon after winning an unusual competition.

Jamie Clarke, 25, from Bonnyrigg, at first thought it was a joke when he was told he had won the unique piece of jewellery. But he is now delighted with his prize, which he won after visiting the King Arthur's Labyrinth in Wales with his family.

He said: "When they confirmed I'd be receiving the solid gold dragon, I was thrilled. It's a really wonderful surprise and a nice memento of the holiday."

Jeweller Phil Bryce Grainger spent two months designing and making the one-off piece.
