Four charged with drugs offences

FOUR people have been arrested and charged with drugs offences as part of an ongoing operation in the Capital.

Officers searched an address in Royston Mains Crescent at around 1:30pm on Wednesday as part of Operation Adrenaline.

Around two grams of heroin and a quantity of crack cocaine were recovered with an estimated value of 600. Cash totalling 532 was also seized.

A 45-year-old woman was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

Officers also stopped and searched two men near Lochend Road and another man nearby.

Officers recovered 320 in cash, 350 worth of herbal cannabis, diamorphine and cannabis.

Two men, aged 47 and 19 were due to appear in court yesterday and a 34-year-old man will appear at court at a later date in connection with alleged drugs offences.

A police spokesman said: "These drug seizures and arrests represent our continued commitment to removing drugs from our communities and robustly dealing with anyone found to be involved in drug-related criminal activity.

"The public can rest assured that Operation Adrenaline will continue to identify drug dealers and abusers and take appropriate action against them.

"Our efforts to rid the scourge of drugs from communities can be assisted by those who live within them. Anyone with information relating to drug dealers operating within their area should contact police immediately."
