Arabic items go on show

A COLLECTION of previously unseen Arabian artefacts is to go on display in East Lothian demonstrating the links between the county and Arabic culture.

Organised by East Lothian Museum Service, a free workshop will be held on Saturday, 24 July, at the Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh, for interested individuals to learn more about the exotic treasures.

Alexa Hirst, a museum service volunteer, said: "Arabic isn't something people would associate with East Lothian, but objects like these help highlight how diverse and multicultural its history really is."
