US pharmaceutical research firm to take on Scots staff

PPD, a US firm that provides research and development services for the pharmaceutical industry, is expanding its operations in Lanarkshire, creating up to 95 jobs by 2007.

The positions are in data management, biostatistics, clinical trials management and monitoring.

PPD currently employs 220 people in Lanarkshire.
